Group picture and Celebration
We took a group picture before some of us left for an important winter trip. The photo was taken in front of the Rush Rhees Library (Thank you to Sanchari for taking the photo!).
After that, we took a trip to the Mt Hope Family Diner for some brunch. Everyone thought the food was pretty mid, but Tom loved it.
This was to celebrate Yifei and Asutosh officially joining our group as first-year graduate students! Oscar will also be joining us starting next semester as a second-year undergraduate researcher.
Looking forward to our future and many more free meals courtesy of Tom!

Friendsgiving Dinner
For Thanksgiving, the group got together for a “relaxed” Friendsgiving dinner at Walker’s place. Everyone brought a dish and we ended up with way more food than we knew what to do with.
We spent the night playing games, catching up, and just enjoyed having everyone in one place before the end of the semester rush. Exactly what we needed after a busy fall.
Also, the camera angle somehow makes Phil look absolutely massive — we can definitely tell Uncle Phil’s been working out!

Schutt’s Cider Mile
This weekend, the group showed up for the premier fall event of the season — Schutt’s Cider Mile.
We started with a 40z sample shot of cider, ran a quarter mile, grabbed another drink, and repeated until the mile was done.
In the end, we celebrated with apple donuts, fresh pies, and even picked up some ribeye steak to go — a perfect way to start off the weekend!
Oh, and it’s Walker’s birthday!
